The NZ Police Vetting check requires candidates to provide two identity documents. At least one must come from the Primary List, and at least one form of photo identification must be provided.

Document requirements: Documents that have expired within the past 5 years may be accepted.

Name linkage documentation: if any document is held in a different name, for example due to a marriage or legal name change, a supporting linkage document such as a marriage certificate or name change certificate will also be required.

Non-English documents Documents in languages other than English must be accompanied by a certified translation.

If a candidate is unable to provide documents from the lists above, additional documents may be accepted at the discretion of the support team.

Can my ID documents be expired?

Upload a supporting linkage document, such as a marriage certificate or legal name change certificate, alongside your ID.
