Branding controls how Checkmate looks and feels to your candidates and referees — from logos and colours through to emails, SMS, and reports. Each brand is a complete set of styling and communications you can apply to your checks. In this article, we'll walk through how to create a new brand and manage your existing ones.
While signed in to your Checkmate account, click your profile icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
Click Company Settings.
Click the Branding tab.
If you have a lot of brands, search by brand name or email to find one quickly.
The Default badge shows which brand is currently set as your default — this is the brand that will be applied automatically to every new candidate.
Click the three-dot menu on a brand card and choose to edit, duplicate, or delete the brand.
Click the card or list icon to switch to your preferred view.
The list view shows whether email, SMS, and reminders are turned on for each brand.
To create a new brand, click + Create Brand.
Enter a Brand Name.
The brand name is for internal use only — it's how you'll identify this brand in your dashboard.Enter a Display Name.
The display name is public-facing — it's the name your candidates and referees will see.Optionally, enter a Brand Email.
This is the email address your candidates and referees will receive emails from. If left blank, emails will be sent from the default Checkmate address.Optionally, upload a Brand Logo.
If left blank, the default Checkmate logo will be used.Click Create Brand to save your new brand.
Remember to click Save after making changes on any tab.
